Deanna Bartalini, writer, speaker, and retreat leader who just formed the online community An Every Day Catholic, joins the show today. Deanna is no stranger to podcasting, as she’s also the host of Not Lukewarm. She brings a simple, but powerful quote to share:
“All will be well.”
--Julian of Norwich
Even if we’re undecided on how we ought to pronounce “Norwich,” there’s no question as to the importance of taking these words to heart. Read them and more in Julian’s book, Showings, to which Deanna was introduced through her book club.
Learn more about Deanna at her website, http://www.deannabartalini.com/, and find her on Instagram and Facebook. Be sure to check out her new program, An Every Day Catholic Community, too!

Category: Lent, Servant Songs Tag: Bible reading, five ds, forty, lent, obedience, penance
In this second Servant Song, we see the mission of Christ expressed in vivid detail. The people of Israel had lost their way. These were the Chosen People. God had made a covenant with them. But they did not keep their part of the bargain. They wandered away, until they were without hope. They forgot God; they had forsaken Him for other gods, and been overrun by foreign powers, dispersed to the ends of the earth. But Jesus came to reach those who were lost. He came to restore them back to a right relationship with God.

Liturgy Live - 2nd Sunday in Lent - On the Mountain
Saturday Mar 07, 2020
Saturday Mar 07, 2020
On this second Sunday in lent we talk about aversion to climbing the mountain. When we make it to the top, we also don't want to leave. We don't like the cross, nor do we like the climb of exercising virtue to get up the mountain. We are to go as the Lord directs us, as Abram did when he leaves his father and follows the Lord. If the Lord is calling you, GO! Obedience to the Lord comes up a lot especially in Lent.
