In the next episode in the story “The Scarlet Tanager”, Vincent, an ornithologist, who is living in Barbados at the abandoned seaside mansion known as Harrismith has been  exchanging letters with his separated wife who lives in Ellersie Hall near Lexington, Kentucky.  He discovers the little boat, “Seasprite”, wedged in a seaside cliff.
