Setting the Record Straight: Being Catholic in Colonial America

How was it? It was rough for Catholics in the British Colonies. It was even illegal for Catholic to vote for four years. Thousands of Catholics were imported as slaves, not "bond slaves",…slaves.

Especially the Irish. But then there was Maryland, a colony founded and administrated by Catholics, like Lord Baltimore, which was uniquely tolerant of other religions.
