"Ok I'm going to call the son "Adam" and the dad "Sam" so I would tell Adam to to say. " Look dad you are my hero and I look up to you for strength you are where I draw my courage from. And being negative is contagious like the flu. And neither one of us can afford to be like that. These are the cards that we were dealt And we just have to play them. I agree that we both are in bad shape but there is so many other people that are so much worse off than we are, because we have the love that some people dream of having. Just please don't lose hope and lets both put our faith in God and let him lead the way for us." Obviously Sam does care or he wouldn't be driving to another state for treatment.
