One of the things I incorporated in my life from my amputation is the use of aromatic candles. I use these smells to help my emotional self. Using these smells over the past few months has been a great learning experience for me. I speak about some of the things I’ve learned from while using these candles. Smell is a gift from God we are called to cultivate and appreciate.

Part of my physical therapy was learning about different muscle groups that I will need to work on to maintain a better quality of life. As I ponder over those physical demands my mind has gone to the need that we all have to know ourselves. Recently, I saw a movie called “Freaks”. It is a film based in a world were some people have super human abilities. The world of this film rejects these abnormal people. That fear and hate creates a monster. That reality of hate and its impact is not unlike our own. That topic of hate, sin and the social impact is something I address in the episode today.
