Then, at the request of Michael Miley, Andrew dives into the Meryl Streep political speech and combines it with his reflections on the final Obama speech, including the riffs on the people needing to hate who they disagree with or like who they agree with, or approve of their actions in a certain sphere, as well as Parmenides, Heraclitus, and Merton in relation to the American Founding and the essence of our republic. Finally, Andrew reluctantly refers to the “genius” of the Trump machine in putting out an economic agenda that unites and excites Wall Street big shots, small business owners, and classical Democrat union workers.

Finally, he turns serious and talks about the 4 young people who kidnapped a mentally disabled kid, including a caveat on being too old to know the PC terms for such things, and then tries to wrap his head around the level of narcissism that makes someone do something so evil and then broadcast it live on Facebook.

Then he talks about seeing Rogue One, the diversity in it, flashbacks to Eddie Izzard, and how Kylo Ren will be the new Steve Jobs. Finally, he sends the show off for the year with a quick riff on Christmas and the motive of gift in the Incarnation.
