It is estimated that 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will be sexually assaulted before the age of 18.

Over 90,000 cases of child sexual abuse are reported in the US each year and yet only 1-4% of childhood sexual abuse incidences are reported. 

This is only the tip of the iceberg.  Our published data always lags behind the current trends. 

Today we will look at the many hidden aspects of childhood sexual abuse as well as some of the behavioral signs and symptoms that may be cause to pay attention. Now.

Whether you are wondering if what happened to you all those years ago could even be called sexual abuse,or just thinking about having children someday in the future, listen in.

If you now have children or you think you see worrisome signs in the children of your family or friends, now is the time to start asking yourself if you are doing enough.

This is a difficult and tender subject; one filled with denial, shame, guilt and rage. Yet with 25% of  girls and 16% of  boys certain to suffer sexual abuse in their childhood and its damaging effects, it is time to talk!
